Welcome back to the BuzzFlash.com GOP Hypocrite of the Week.

This is the first time we are bestowing our hypocrite of the week on a couple -- and in this case we don't even know both their names.

But any guy who would marry Arthur Finkelstein has got to be a hypocrite, because the love of his life has made a living off of doing pond scum political consulting for anti-gay GOP candidates.

You see Finkelstein, who made his professional mark helping Jesse Helms rise to his perch of infamous and destructive power, wed his long-time male partner in a Massachusetts ceremony recently. According to Finkelstein, the wedding was conducted in order to get "visitation rights, health care benefits and other human relationship contracts that are taken for granted by all married people [and] should be available to partners."

The hypocrisy challenge for Mr. and Mr. Finkelstein to explain is how come Arthur makes his money supporting right wing demagogues who rally the GOP faithful by opposing just such rights for gays?

Arthur's latest Republican slime assignment is to raise millions of dollars to launch a "Stop Her Now" Anti-Hillary Clinton campaign. Finkelstein would obviously prefer a gay-baiting Republican, because he is, as Bill Clinton said, full of self-loathing.

Hey, maybe Arthur is a true believer, and after 40 years with his male partner wanted to stop practicing abstinence, as Bush and the American Taliban preach for unmarried couples.

But we sincerely doubt it. Like most Republican leaders, Finkelstein is just another moral schizophrenic.

The least he can do is devote his brain to science. There is much to be learned about how so many GOP leaders can be in denial about their "values gap."

So we offer our special BuzzFlash.com marriage gift to the happy couple: Mr. and Mr. Finkelstein, congratulations on receiving this week's GOP Hypocrite of the Week dishonor, it's the least we can do for a couple bound to spend their honeymoon wallowing in their own destructive hypocrisy.

Until next week, remember our motto at BuzzFlash.com: So many Republican hypocrites, so little time.

Catch up with you soon.
