October 7, 2005 | George W. Bush
Welcome back to the BuzzFlash.com GOP Hypocrite of the Week. We've been thinking that George W. Bush could merit his own site as the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Day. This guy oozes hypocrisy like a lanced boil. For a long time we've been contemplating Bush's "get out of accountability card" for everything he has done to destroy America: his claim that he found Christ. We realize now that the basic dilemma with verifying this assertion is that no one has proven that Christ or God has found or accepted Bush. Certainly, Bush's incompetent and corrupt deeds would suggest that God and his son have left George cooling his heels in the gutter, while they embrace the true disciples of decency, integrity and faith. Take for example the latest nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court. Bush told a news conference that she was the best person he could find for America. Well, the truth is that she was the best person that he could find to ensure the maintenance of Republican one-party rule and the Imperial GOP Presidency. He also knows that any woman that thinks he is the most brilliant person around would throw out any convictions against him or his staff. We have to laugh at Republicans and Democrats who debate about what Miers might have meant when she answered some questionnaire on gay rights in 1989. It's as significant as pondering whether she drank Perrier or tap water at a dinner for some corporate crony clients. Miers was nominated to protect the interests of Bush and Bushevism, period. If that isn't hypocrisy, we don't know what is. Remember our motto at BuzzFlash.com: So many Republican hypocrites, so little time. Catch up with you soon. |
