So Many Republican Hypocrites, So Little Time

Welcome back to the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week.
In once again naming Donald Rumsfeld as the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week, we do have to ask ourselves that if a man is demented, egomaniacal, and incompetent, does that necessarily make him a hypocrite?
Well, there's enough hypocrisy amidst all of Rumsfeld's fatal flaws to answer in the affirmative.
This past week, Le Donald was a hypocrite for many reasons, but most importantly for dissing combat veteran generals, when he has spent the last few years praising and glorifying the military leadership. After all, the former generals who were calling for his resignation were the people leading our war effort on the ground in Iraq.
Add to that the reality that the current military brass is widely known to be critical of Rumsfeld, but can't speak out because of the military code of absolute loyalty while on active duty. And Rumsfeld has never been in combat himself.
So it is a bit hypocritical that Rumsfeld is not only rejecting any criticism, he's getting off on it. A former high ranking military official who attended a recent meeting with Rumsfeld after last week's unprecedented volley of denunciations told the New York Times: "He said it's a diversion, and that it's taken him away from the full-time focus on things he needs to do," he said. Mr. Rumsfeld "was not chastened. If anything, he looked like he was energized by it."
Demented, a Master of the Universe, a Failure, a Nonsensical Blatherer: Donald Rumsfeld is all of the above -- and our BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week.
