May 26, 2006 | SEND TO A FRIEND Dennis Hastert
Welcome back to the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week. Okay, for six years you give a thief everything he wants, no questions asked. Then you suddenly wake up and complain that he stole stuff from your house. We'll say you're either stupid, crooked, or a hypocrite. Maybe, we'll say that you're all three. And that's what we're saying about Dennis Hastert. Denny has been a willing and eager enabler of the Bushevik subversion of democracy from the time that the Commander-in-Thief stole the White House. Like any good member of an organized crime family, Hastert did what his superiors told him to do, no questions asked. In return, he got the appearance of power and the prestige of being Speaker of the House. So, this past week, Denny finds a burglar in his House. Only, it's the Executive Branch police department, the FBI. He starts making a big stink, as if suddenly the Constitution is a big issue. Of course, he has been helping to put it through a shredder for six years. Now, Denny, that is hypocrisy, no matter how you split up the spoils. In the end, what goes around, comes around to hypocrites -- and now you got your just desserts, Mr. Hastert. Until next week, remember our motto at BuzzFlash.com: So many Republican hypocrites, so little time. Catch up with you soon. * * * Dennis Hastert was also the GOP Hypocrite of the Week on November 11, 2005 (shared with Bill Frist) and February 27, 2004.
