Congressman Steve King
Welcome back to the BuzzFlash.com GOP Hypocrite of the Week.
Republican Iowa Congressman Steve King likes to rev up the crowd, and
Republicans like their revving up rude, crude and mean.
So when King spoke to Iowa GOP convention delegates recently, he couldn't
resist slithering in the gutter by delivering this "chuckler" on
the death of al-Zarqawi: "There
probably are not 72 virgins in the hell he's at and if there are, they
probably all look like Helen
Thomas."
Can someone tell us why Republicans are so mean, offensive and bitter?
Helen Thomas has been a regular target of the rank and file Bushevik
GOP infantry because she dares to challenge the White House about Bush's
lies. So, they've got their marching orders to ridicule her at every
turn, even though she's the senior White House reporter and is 85 years
old.
On his official website, Congressman King brags that his Iowa district "ranks
first in the nation for hogs and pigs." Well, the king of hogs
and pigs should be careful about his name calling, wouldn't you think?
We guess not, although King did allegedly "privately" apologize
to Helen Thomas. If he really did, we hope Helen didn't let the Republican
Congressman who champions "family values" off the phone until
he "oinked" a few times for her.
We also found a photo of King welcoming the infamous right wing extremist
zealot, Phyllis
Schlafly, to Sioux City. So
he embraces Schlafly and casts distasteful jibes at Helen Thomas, who
is fighting for the American Constitution and the truth? That's hypocrisy.
This Congressman is no king; he's just a run-of-the-mill Republican
sleaze bag.
Until next week, remember our motto: So many Republican hypocrites,
so little time.
Catch up with you soon.
