So Many Republican Hypocrites, So Little Time

Welcome back to the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week.
Uh, maybe we were dreaming, but did we see George W. Bush meet with the so-called "Iraq Study Group," praise them, and tell them that he would take their recommendations under advisement?
Look, when your daddy engineers a perennial milquetoast D.C. commission to haul your butt out of the frying pan, you should already feel like you're back in nursery school.
But when the group of status quo insiders, including your father's consigliere, concludes that you've crapped in your pants, killed all the livestock and burnt the house down -- and you sit there and basically say "thanks, but I've got more important things to do," then you are beyond being a hypocrite; you're a dangerous moron.
Somehow, however, we believe even the dolt-in-chief could understand that when James Baker says the War in Iraq is a disaster, Daddy Dearest is sending a message that Junior screwed up bigtime and blemished the reputation of the Bush dynasty (and that's not easy to do, since it is already so tarnished.)
Eleven U.S. Gis were confirmed killed in Iraq while Bush dithered with a report that was a devastating indictment of his leadership, and Bush just acted as if it was pretty much business as usual.
We don't for a moment think that the Baker crowd plans to give up the oil fields in Iraq, but they do want to get our soldiers out of harm's way.
Bush is no longer content with achieving the oil grab, he wants U.S. GIs to continue to die so that he isn't "embarrassed' by withdrawing them from the most dangerous areas and appearing to "lose" the war.
That's criminal behavior and misconduct in office to sacrifice lives for a man's ego.
But BuzzFlash can't indict or impeach Bush, we can just declare him the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of 2006.
