December 15, 2006 | SEND TO A FRIEND | GET EARLY NOTICE OF THE HOTW Mitt Romney
Welcome back to the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week. Well, for the first time, we are turning over our Hypocrite of the Week tribute to another source, in this case the Democratic National Committee. They penned an eloquent commentary about Mitt Romney, another dynasty candidate* -- and we thought that they deserved the credit. So, Howard Dean, take it away: "Outgoing Massachusetts Republican
Governor and presidential hopeful Mitt Romney sealed the deal today
on his hypocritical efforts to
use the immigration debate to pander to extremists in his political
party.
Despite his own use of a company that relies on undocumented
workers to maintain his lawn, Romney signed a controversial agreement
with
federal officials to allow Massachusetts state police to arrest
people for violating federal immigration laws. DNC spokesman Damien LaVera added, "By using the immigration debate to pander to extremists in his party after years of taking advantage of undocumented workers, Romney is proving to be just another hypocritical political opportunist with no business running for the White House." That's why Mitt is the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week Until next week, remember our motto at BuzzFlash.com: So many Republican hypocrites, so little time. Catch up with you soon. * * * *Mitt Romney's father was a Republican presidential candidate himself until he claimed that he had been "brainwashed" about the Vietnam War. This is Mitt Romney's first GOP Hypocrite of the Week Award. |
