Welcome back to the BuzzFlash.com GOP Hypocrite of the week.

Well, the swaggering, lying Ollie North was sent by the FOX propaganda network to Iraq. His assignment was to be a cheerleader for the debacle, echoing the Bushevik denial of reality.

As reported on the blog Attytood, North boasted about how well things were going in the city of Ramadi. Forget for the moment that death and violence are on the rise in Iraq, North unforgivably didn't mention that just a few days earlier three of his military escorts were killed by a roadside bomb.

One of the dead included the highest ranking female soldier to lose her life in Iraq as of that date, Maj. Megan McClung.

The right wingers don't like to mention Gis dying in Iraq -- and they particularly don't like to acknowledge vibrant, attractive white blonde women who get killed. It would get in the way of their self-serving tinhorn propaganda.

Maj. McClung was buried in Arlington Cemetery not long after North was joking about his adventures in Ramadi on FOX -- and trying to perpetuate the FOX lies about the devastation of the Iraq War.

As Attytood points out, McClung was a fellow Marine. North owed her much more than earning his big FOX salary by fibbing and playing for laughs.

North's behavior is indicative of the insensitivity and brazen opportunism of the GOP war hawks. Call it hypocrisy, but make sure you also call it unmanly and revolting.

Until next week, remember our motto at BuzzFlash.com: So many Republican hypocrites, so little time.

Catch up with you soon.

This is Oliver North's first GOP Hypocrite of the Week Award, although he's been a hypocrite for as long as we've known of him.
