January 12, 2007 | SEND TO A FRIEND | GET EARLY NOTICE OF THE HOTW George W. Bush
Welcome back to the GOP Hypocrite of the Week. Well, George W. Bush is so feeble-brained and psychiatrically impaired, he couldn’t even come up with his own mistakes: he resorted to plagiarizing from Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon. As one journalist’s blog noted, Bush literally took ideas and phrasing from Johnson’s remarks justifying an escalation of the War in Vietnam. It’s the height of hypocrisy to create the illusion that you are a trailblazing, courageous leader when you are cribbing a disastrous war plan – and even the politically-crafted language “catapulting the propaganda” – from a conflict that the U.S. was forced to flee more than 30 years ago. Bush can’t even be original about leading the nation into the jaws of disaster. Of course, we can’t avoid once again mentioning that Bush was a coward who refused to serve in the debacle known as the Vietnam War. He let other young men die in his place. And, once again, he is letting other people die for his weaknesses, vanity and psychological problems. That’s some hypocrisy alright – and that is why George W. Bush is, yet again, the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week. Until next week, remember our motto: So many Republican hypocrites, so little time. Catch up with you soon. * * * Previous HOTW Awards for George Bush: December 8, 2006, November 3, 2006, September 29, 2006, June 16, 2006, March 3, 2006, February 24, 2006, December 2, 2005, October 14, 2005, October 7, 2005, July 22, 2005, July 8, 2005, June 3, 2005, February 25, 2005, The 2004 Hypocrite of the Year, and more. |
