So Many Republican Hypocrites, So Little Time

Welcome back to the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week.

This week, we are honoring a trio of Republican sexual hypocrites. Although there is a dump truck load of GOP hypocrisy going on relating to the shredding of our Constitution, the Iraq War, and domestic policies, we can't ignore the epidemic of Republican sexual perversity and hedonism.

Democrats tend to ignore or overlook the widespread, nearly pathological sexual hypocrisy and perversity among Republican leaders. That's because liberals tend to have a philosophy of live and let live, unlike the GOP who consistently -- and ironically -- paints Democrats as libertines.

So we feel it is the BuzzFlash duty to set the record straight, because, unfortunately, the public -- in the absence of the Dems blaring about GOP sexual improprieties -- tends to believe that liberals are really the ones who are running around with lustful abandonment, while they view Republicans are God-fearing, law abiding, monogamous pillars of virtue.

In truth, our readings of the daily news reveals countless GOP politicians who are not just sexual hypocrites, but lawbreakers espousing family values, monogamy, and harsh punishment for sex offenders.

Just recently, we took note on the Hypocrite of the Week Web site of the Vitter prostitution scandal, as well as the rather bizarre gay fellatio solicitation of a Florida State "family values" GOP representative, one Bob Allen.

This week, to hammer home our point, we are "honoring" a trio of alleged Republican family values" sexual lawbreakers, just to offer up some more examples of hypocritical GOP deviance.

First, let's go to conservative Washington State GOP rural county prosecutor, Liam Michael Golden. According to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer: Golden "is facing allegations that he did not properly disclose past sexual relationships with the mother of a victim in one case and the mother of a defendant in another. His office also charged someone with cyberstalking a woman Golden had slept with, though Golden recently turned that case over to a prosecutor from neighboring Thurston County."

Ah, Republican justice!

Next, we move to Michigan, where Michael Flory, "The former head of the Michigan Federation of Young Republicans admitted today that he sexually abused a colleague during a national convention here last summer. Flory, a 32-year-old attorney from Jackson, Mich., pleaded guilty to sexual battery on the day he was to stand trial for rape." Ah, those randy young Republicans!

To fill out our GOP trio, we go to the Hoosier state of Indiana and meet up with Glenn Murphy Jr., "the chairman of the Clark County Republican Party -- who last month was elected president of the Young Republican National Federation."

Uh, make that the former president of the Young Republican National Federation. You see, Murphy ran into a legal problem and had to abruptly resign the position.

"The Clark County Sheriff's Department on Friday began investigating Murphy for alleged criminal deviate conduct -- potentially a class B felony -- after speaking with a 22-year-old man who claimed that on July 31, Murphy performed an unwanted sex act on him while the man slept in a relative's Jeffersonville home."

Oh, dear me. But there's more: "In 1998, a 21-year-old male filed a similar report with Clarksville police claiming Murphy attempted to perform a sex act on him while he was sleeping. Charges were never filed in that case."

So the next time a Republican leader comes to your town, lock up the men, women, children -- and we suggest your pets, too.

Until next week, remember our motto: So many Republican hypocrites, so little time.

Catch up with you soon.
