June 27, 2008 | SEND TO A FRIEND | GET EARLY NOTICE OF THE HOTW James Inhofe
Welcome back to the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week. He voted no to increase veterans' medical care in March 2005;We haven't checked out all the votes, but it would be par for the course. Heck, Bush and McCain were most recently against giving GIs more post-discharge benefits because they needed to be kept indentured in the army in order to keep enlistment numbers from falling. (Yes, that's right, the Republican President and Nominee want to force men and women to stay in the Armed Forces by denying them decent benefits if they leave the military.) Anyway, whether Inhofe just has a bean for a brain or is a shrewd right-wing schemer, he is still a hypocrite when it comes to valuing our GIs. He steps on their fingers as he climbs up a ladder all the time shouting out about how patriotic he is and how he's a great supporter of the troops. Please, spare us. For the reasons cited in Barbara Santee's e-mail -- and so many more -- James Inhofe is the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week. Remember our motto: So many Republican hypocrites, so little time.
