Welcome back to the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week.

The GOP Hypocrite of the Week Award goes to Sen. John McCain's top financial advisor Carly Fiorina for telling us who can and cannot run a company (without mentioning herself, of course). No, Fiorina decided that none of the major party candidates have what it takes to run a large company, including the two people she works for: McCain and his running mate, Gov. Sarah Palin.

Fiorina was the CEO of Hewlett-Packard Co. for over five years, until she was canned over controversial business moves. Some blame her and her decision to buy Compaq for HP's downfall. Though some market happenings may have partially vindicated Fiorina, it's clear from reports at the time that she was not trusted by board members or Wall Street.

After failing in the private sector, Fiorina turned to politics. Now she's using her pundit status to tell us who can and cannot run an American business. Perhaps she could include herself on that list?

Besides that, do we want another MBA telling us who is prepared to lead? President George W. Bush showed his ability to sink a corporation also extended to the presidency. Vice President Dick Cheney showed his ability to wrangle and steal for Halliburton didn't stop when he went to the White House.

The corporate-centric focus Fiorina is espousing here is just what we're trying to get away from. Electing a candidate who relies on CEOs who can't admit their own failures to make nuanced decisions about the direction of the nation is not the way to do that. Which is why we're naming Carly Fiorina as BuzzFlash's GOP Hypocrite of the Week.
